Srutilaya School of dance is dedicated to teaching the traditional Indian classical dance called Bharatanatyam and communicating the art form through various dance performances and ballets.  It is directed by Madhusri Sethuraman who has over 30 years dance experience, 20 years teaching experience, 500 dance performances, and two dance titles to her credit.  She and her dance troupe have performed in USA, India, China, Australia, Singapore, and all over Europe.  Notable among her recent performances are, King Ashoka - a dance drama performed all over China in 2006 and Pandora's Box - a multicultural dance ballet performed at the Majestic Theater, Dallas in 2007. Dance classes are held in Plano.   


 Dance has played an important role in the life of Greeks all through their history.  Holy Trinity Hellenic Dancers are dedicated to uphold this tradition and to the education of its members and community in the authentic Hellenic folk dances, music, folklore, traditional dress, and customs of the numerous regions of Greece, Cyprus, and Asia Minor.  Holy Trinity Hellenic Dancers are a ministry of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Hillcrest Avenue in Dallas, Texas and are directed by Demetra and Frank Boardman.  The dance program is open to all, ages 4 to adult.  The dance group practices weekly and performs at many international activities in the Dallas metropolitan area.



I Colori Italiani is the performing ensemble of the Italian Club of Dallas and is committed to preserving and sharing traditional Italian dances, music, and songs that have survived through the centuries in Italian villages and towns and also found in Italian communities in the U.S and also to supporting the non-profit cultural, social, and philanthropic mission of the Italian Club of Dallas.  Started in 1980, I Colori Italianis repertoire now encompasses dances from nine of Italy’s 20 regions with dances such as the tarantella, saltarello, trescone, moresca, countrodanso, la furlana, ballu tundu, and sword dance from the island of Ischia.  A children’s ensemble, I Piccoli Colori, also performs.  The ensemble is under the co-direction of Carrie Pollinzi Harris and Maria Miletta Chobany.


Jiaping Shi Dance School was founded on April 1, 2000, by Ms. Jiaping Shi, a Chinese folk and classical dancer, teacher and choreographer for more than 30 years, as well as a member of the Association of Chinese Professional Dancers in China. The purpose of the school is to disseminate Chinese national folk dances, preserve and expand the excellence of Chinese culture, and to train, develop, and nurture new talents who share a deep love for the oriental arts. Since the foundation of the school, the students have undergone rigorous, professional, and scientific basic training. Currently, they have learned and
mastered 20 national folk dances of various styles and characteristics. They have regularly participated in various performances, arts festivals and community activities.



 “Sa’diyya and the Danza della Luna Performance Company” is an award-winning dance troupe based in the DFW, TX area, directed by full-time professional dancer and instructor, Sa’diyya.  “Danza della Luna” is Italian for “Dance of the Moon,” referring to the age-old comparison of a woman’s beauty to the beauty of the moon in Middle Eastern cultures.  Danza della Luna specializes in unique Bellydance presentations that showcase the more modern styles of Bellydance, as their repertoire runs the gamut from world-fusion dances to flashy “ Las Vegas ” style dances to the authentic dances of the Middle East.  Danza della Luna has performed all around Texas at festivals, gala dance shows, private parties, restaurants, competitions and more!  The goal of the company is to bring Bellydance to a higher level of skill and production, with exciting and entertaining performances that leave lasting impressions on audience members, all the while keeping true to the roots of Middle Eastern dance.
