Six leading dance troupes from DFW joined together to create a delightful mixture of dances from the East and West celebrating nature and goodness.  They are Allen Civic Ballet, Akhila Rao School of Kathak, Dance Zone, Daniel de Cordoba Bailes Espanoles, Kuchipudi Kalakshetra, and Srutilaya School of Dance. The audiences were treated to a medley of dance styles ranging from ballet, tap, lyrical, modern and Hip Hop from the West to Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi and Kathak Indian classical dance styles from the East. 


The dance concert was on Saturday, October 25 at the Allen Civic Auditorium (in Allen Public Library), 300 N. Allen Drive, Allen.  Admission by donor passes were: Bronze ($15); Silver ($20); Gold ($30).  

 All proceeds from the dance concert were given directly to four noble nonprofit organizations serving children’s educational needs: Allen Public Library, Asha for Education, Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center, and Pratham USA.  Several thousand dollars were raised for these organizations and the audiences got to appreciate art from different cultures
